ISLAND PARTY
If you're over 18 but under 35 or so, and it's Saturday night, you may want to take the boat to the DJs or live bands at the Raging Thunder Beach Bar on Fitzroy Island. The Fitzroy Flyer leaves Cairns' Reef Fleet terminal at 4pm and 7pm, and returns at 1am on Sunday for A$15 (US$12). You must book ahead, through Raging Thunder Adventures. But if you really want a wild wild night, head to Fizroy Island and literally dance the night away. A catamaran will take you to the Island in 45 minutes and once there, you can let your hair down and party in a very relaxed and open bar. Doesn't it sound appealing? Ok, what about this? If you need a break from the party, stroll down to the beach and have a swim. Then go back to the dance floor and back to business. It could be an idea to do this early in the night, before you have consumed too much alcohol, we want to see you come back to us. It is a magnificent way to finish a day of fishing, sailing or relaxing on the glass-bottomed boat around the island.
FARMSTAYS
What about spending some time on a genuine working cattle station or fruit farm?
