Mount n Ride Adventures offer half day, private and campfire tours. The half day are the most popular horse riding tours, allowing between two and two and a half hours horse riding, the opportunity of swimming in a pristine swimming hole and a delicious farm style lunch or afternoon tea. The private tours are for experienced horse riders and those who want to ride without group numbers. There's an opportunity to trot and canter over a ten to twelve kilometre journey. But if you decide to go for the campfire tour, you'll be treated to the sights, smells and sounds of tropical Queensland at night, while delighting in a delicous meal around the campfire. Included is a one hour horse ride, animal feeding, farm experience and a three course campfire feast.

Whatever you tour you choose, you will witness spectacular scenery on your horseriding adventure as well as exotic and beautiful plant life and animals, which are in abundance in the region around Cairns.

Continuing the tradition of bush riding!
Tait's Wongabel Stables has been operating since 1987. Your host, Sheila Tait, is a long-term member of the Tablelands Trail Horse Riders' Club, and has gained knowledge of the district by helping with the planning of extended rides in remote areas. She also has some experience of riding with pack horses on the Bicentennial National Trail.

While providing all riders with the opportunity to enjoy a bush ride which suits their ability, safety is always the first consideration. Appropriate tuition is given with every ride. Tait's Wongabel Stables offer one hour or the popular half day rides. For the more experienced, whole day rides can be given for small groups. Or enjoy a catered 'Holiday on Horseback' of 5 days or more, with all camping equipment supplied.

Morning and afternoon horse rides for beginners and experts!

You will be collected from your resort reception and taken to the stables, where you will be given a horse to suit your riding ability and brief instructions for the ride. The ride leaves the yard and heads through the rainforest to Myall Beach, where you will ride along the beach and have photo opportunities.

On the way back towards the forest, you will stop at a beautiful fresh water, swimming hole for a pleasant dip and refreshments and then on to the stables via a forest track.

Morning & Afternoon Horse rides available, departing at 8.00am and 1.30pm from the Beach House. There are opportunities for EXPERIENCED RIDERS ONLY to trot and canter the horses. Spectacular scenery and the thrill of horse riding make this a especially enjoyable activity.
