This characteristic outback golf course is built astride Silverlena Creek, a tributary of the Leichhardt River. Although the creek itself is usually dry, the water course allows for the growth of majestic, picturesque stands of gum trees lining the the grass fairways.
The Mount Isa Golf Club hosts the City of Mount Isa Open Golf Tournament in July each year which attracts golf professionals playing for prize money and over 100 amateurs shooting for trophies.
The air conditioned clubhouse has full bar and kitchen facilities, open from 9.00am, with seating for 120. Club house is closed on Mondays.
