The flagship of Canon's PowerShot range when it was released, the G10 was the first G-series camera to offer wide-angle imaging via a 5x (28mm) zoom with optical Image Stabilizer. Canon's new DIGIC 4 image processor allows the PowerShot G10 to deliver two major advantages: ultra-fast operation, and rich, low-noise images with outstanding clarity and colour reproduction. With its 14.7MP resolution and the ability to shoot photos in RAW format, the G10 is a serious, professional grade camera packed with features for the real enthusiast, but is childishly easy to use as a simple 'point and shoot'. Also boasting a large 3" LCD screen, the Powershot G10 is available for hire with a top quality genuine Canon WATERPROOF HOUSING for snorkelling and scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef. |
Canon's latest offering - new in April 2012 - the PowerShot G1X boasts the largest sensor of any compact camera on the market. Couple this with its extraordinary full high definition (1920px by 1080px) video with sound, the G1X is a camera for the serious photographer. With its 14.3MP resolution and the capacity to shoot photos in RAW format, this is one for the budding professionals! Despite its advanced features, the Powershot G1X is as easy to use as simple 'point and shoot'. This awesome camera is available for hire with a top quality genuine Canon WATERPROOF HOUSING for snorkelling and scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef. NOTE: The hirer will accept a higher liability when renting this expensive top-of-the-range cameraa. See the terms and conditions. |

HOW MUCH MEMORY IS ENOUGH?
All of our 14.7 Megapixel Cairns digital underwater rental cameras come equipped with a high speed 4.0GB memory card, just to make sure you never run out of memory. On longer rentals, extra memory is available upon request at no extra cost.

A USB cable is included to give you the opportunity to load your photos onto your own computer, but if you leave the photographs on the camera, we will burn a disc for you free of charge. If you prefer, we can give you the photos on a 4.0GB USB stick instead, for just $5 extra.
How many photos can you store on a 4GB card, you ask? Well, there are a number of determining factors, and it's impossible to answer that question with any accuracy. If you take a picture composed of mostly blue sky (just for example), the memory used will be considerably lower than for a picture with huge amounts of detail. Also, you can choose what size to take your photos, and at what resolution. All of these factors affect the file size of each photograph, and therefore the number of images you can store one a card.
But to give you an idea, an image taken on the 14.7 Megapixel Canon Powershot G10, at the highest 'superfine' resolution and at the largest possible size (4416px x 3312px) would have a file size of just over 6 Megabytes. Therefore, you could fit over 600 such images on a 4GB card. Reducing the image size would allow you to store more individual photographs on a card.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH POOR QUALITY 'THROWAWAY' CAMERAS.
